What hypocrisy. As soon as an MP, Journalist or other commentator asks a question regarding some passing news issue that requires a quantifiable answer that is not statistically gathered, they create a new form for the police to fill in. In the 1980's the Home secretary was embarrassed when he could not answer how many Bull Dog Pit Terriers had bitten a member of the public. The false outrage forced the Home Office to demand every police Force to capture this statistic. You know what ? they are still filling in forms on this.<br /><br />It goes on and on every time they cannot answer a stupid question they demand the police to collect the statistic. Indeed many Police officers lost their jobs for informally letting an employer know an employees history.
